Always Home Custom Designs is hiring a Full-Time Drafter/Designer to support our growing team of creatives serving residential and commercial clients across the U.S. This position is perfect for a designer who thrives behind the scenes—someone who loves bringing ideas to life through detailed drafting, rendering, and plan development.

We’re looking for someone who understands design intent and can help communicate it beautifully and clearly. Whether it’s cabinetry layouts, finish plans, elevations, or renderings—we need a designer who’s confident in their technical skills and enjoys collaborating with other designers.

This role is hybrid: You'll be able to work from home most days, but we’ll occasionally need your help with site visits or local design installs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Draft floor plans, cabinetry designs, elevations, and construction documents (we use Chief Architect)

Build out 3D renderings and visualizations for client and designer-facing projects

Support other designers by executing technical plans and visual presentation boards

Help prepare documentation for FF&E, finish plans, and project proposals

Participate in occasional site visits and local project walkthroughs

We’re Looking For:

-2+ years experience in drafting, technical interior design, or architecture
-Proficiency in Chief Architect or similar software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
-Strong eye for layout, scale, and translating concept to construction detail
-Bonus: rendering skills and experience with design boards or client presentations
-Self-starter who communicates well and manages deadlines with ease
