Job summary

SmithGroup, an integrated design firm in Phoenix, invites applications for a design project lead role. You will manage projects, coordinate construction documents, and lead client presentations to develop programs for clients.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree, 4+ years of related experience, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD with 3-D modeling. We offer a hybrid work environment, paid time off, holidays, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience.
  • LEED AP preferred; Architectural or Interior Design registration preferred.
  • Experience in Revit and AutoCAD with 3-D modeling capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work involving independent judgment and to act as project coordinator and leader.
  • The ability to produce and coordinate a complete set of construction documents for permitting and bidding on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate, and complete construction document packages.
  • Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate FF&E materials and products.
  • Research information and create graphics for inclusion in marketing proposals and materials.
  • Serve as a resource on interior design issues to others in the office, as well as oversee the design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design.
  • Lead client presentations and visioning sessions to develop programs for clients.
  • Be responsible for meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.

Working with us, you will:
