Ethan Allen Design Consultants work in the design center or at customers' homes to craft individualized design solutions that align with preferences and budgets. They sell Ethan Allen products and services, greet customers professionally, and build relationships to secure appointments and in-home consultations.

The role emphasizes social media engagement, education of design services, and using digital tools to present compelling design proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills also required.
• General understanding of how to utilize social media and grassroots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver’s license for business travel.
• Intermediate skill in digital floor planning technology; 3D applications a plus.
• Experience using interactive technology to view design concepts (AR/VR).
• Willing to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions aligned with customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in customer interactions and schedule appointments; conduct in-home consultations.
• Utilize social media to develop and grow the business.
• Educate customers about the complimentary design service and available financing options.
• Stay current on design trends and color palettes.
