Job summary

Ware Malcomb is seeking a Project Manager to lead interior design projects from concept to construction, guiding internal and external teams while maintaining budgets and workplans. You will oversee contract documents development and act as the primary client contact to ensure project success.

Lead design and construction activities with strong client service, and mentor junior team members within a collaborative, growth-oriented design firm environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Interior Design or Architecture
• Diverse project experience, including workplace, retail or other commercial
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• NCIDQ or ARIDO preferred
• AutoCAD and Revit skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma
• Thorough knowledge of building codes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate phases of the project.
• Prepare the project schedule.
• Discuss the project health with operations leader.
• Alert the Business Operations Manager to changing project conditions.
• Maintain and weekly update the project planner for staffing meetings.
• Issue add services and manage changes in scope.
• Utilize Ware Malcomb’s resource groups for design and construction documents.
• Provide construction services (site visits, review shop drawings).
• Coordinate with contracts team for contract execution.
• Represent Ware Malcomb at required design review or development meetings.
• Assemble consultant team, identify scope, collect fees, select consultants, and facilitate contracts.
• Mentor junior project members.
• Assist in writing proposals and coordinate consultants with the studio leader.
• Coordinate with accounting on AR/AP and invoicing.
• Coordinate consultants through all project phases.
• Review contract documents with QC studio or peer reviewer before issuance.
• Assist marketing for existing and new clients.
