Job summary

Stantec in San Francisco is seeking an intermediate Interior Design Coordinator to assist the interior design team with space planning, interior architecture, materials palettes, specifications, and FFE/ signage coordination.

You will collaborate with the architectural team to conceptualize, develop, and document interior design across project phases, using BIM for 3D interiors and ensuring design intent is maintained through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of interior design experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Supports interior design teams in the development of design documentation.
• Participates in development of interior design within cost parameters and maintains design intent through documentation and construction.
• Develops interior design through sketches, models, diagrams, and other visuals to express design intent and coordinate with Project Designer.
• Uses BIM technologies to develop 3D models of interiors and components.
• Participates in design critiques and pin-ups.
• Assists in ensuring designs comply with building codes, ADA guidelines and LEED per project type.
• Assists in selections of interior systems, finishes, and fixtures.
• Supports FFE and signage coordination tasks from design to bid, coordinating with client standards.
• Demonstrates commitment to profession by engaging with professional orgs and pursuing licensure.
• Performs Construction Administration tasks to support the scope of work.
