Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to support our Mission Critical/Data Centers practice in a technically demanding environment. You will help develop architectural documentation from concept through construction administration, coordinating with architects, engineers, and clients.

The role emphasizes strong BIM coordination, detail-oriented design, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-quality projects for national and international clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial architecture and design.
• Experience with Mission Critical, Data Center or other technically complex project types is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and construction methods.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into clear technical documentation using Revit and visualization tools.
• Prepare and coordinate construction documents from schematic design through construction administration.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering documentation, including technical reviews, detailing, redlines, QA/QC, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Collaborate with project architects, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty consultant drawings.
• Review drawings and specifications for completeness, quality, constructability, and code compliance.
• Assist in managing project schedules, deliverables, and document milestones.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and client presentations as required.
• Support permitting activities and respond to jurisdictional review comments.
• Assist during bidding and construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to maintaining firm BIM and documentation standards.
