Job summary

Stantec Buildings seeks a Design Coordinator to support the growth of its Mission Critical / Data Centers practice. You will contribute from early planning through project completion, coordinating architectural, structural, MEP drawings and vendor documentation with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience with design coordination for mission-critical or data center projects.
• Proficiency in producing construction documents from schematic design to construction administration.
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into clear technical documentation using Revit and visualization tools.
• Prepare and coordinate construction documents from schematic design through construction administration.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering documentation, including technical reviews, detailing, redlines, QA/QC, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Collaborate with project architects, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty consultant drawings.
• Review drawings and specifications for completeness, quality, constructability, and code compliance.
• Assist in managing project schedules, deliverables, and document milestones.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and client presentations as required.
• Support permitting activities and respond to jurisdictional review comments.
• Assist during bidding and construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to maintaining firm BIM and documentation standards.
