Ethan Allen is seeking a Design Consultant to create personalized design solutions and sell products and services. You will greet customers, schedule appointments, and conduct in-home consultations to close sales.

The role emphasizes design expertise, social media outreach, and collaboration with the Design Center Leader to meet sales goals. This full-time position requires a design background and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of social media and grass‑roots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• 3-D Room Planner and other 3D applications a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions that align with customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions and conduct home visits.
• Utilize grassroots marketing and social media to grow the business.
• Educate customers about the complimentary design service and options.
• Stay current on design trends to craft fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure excellent post-sale service and order updates.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Educate customers on Ethan Allen financing options available.
