Job summary

LeaderStat, LLC is seeking an experienced Interim Manager of Surgical Services in Panama City, Florida to provide strategic leadership for the surgical services department.

This role requires overseeing daily OR operations, staffing, budgeting, and collaboration with surgeons and hospital administration to improve patient outcomes and operational performance. An RN license and prior leadership experience in perioperative services are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and prior management or director-level experience in Surgical Services.
• Strong understanding of surgical operations, staffing, patient flow, and OR scheduling.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance improvements.
• Experience with budgets, productivity, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership of surgical services and OR operations.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource allocation.
• Mentor nursing staff and surgical team, promoting accountability.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and hospital administration to improve workflows.
• Monitor OR utilization, case scheduling, throughput, and efficiency.
• Ensure quality indicators, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Support budget management and cost containment for the department.
• Address operational challenges and physician issues while maintaining a positive environment.
• Lead process improvements to enhance patient outcomes and staff engagement.
• Provide stability and continuity throughout the interim assignment.
