Job summary

AMN Healthcare Leadership Solutions | B.E. Smith seeks an Interim Director of Surgical Services to lead operations at a large Winchester, Virginia hospital.

The leader will oversee 22 operating rooms, a six-room ambulatory surgery center, one procedure room, and four endoscopy suites, reporting to system perioperative leadership. The ideal candidate will have substantial surgical services leadership experience, strong physician relationships, and the business acumen to guide improvements.

Qualifications

• BSN required; master's degree highly preferred.
• Active Virginia RN license or active multistate RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day clinical operations and staffing.
• Partner with surgeons and staff to maintain safe, high-quality care.
• Mentor managers and build accountability.
• Improve surgical access and case volume through block time optimization, scheduling, and performance data.
