Job summary

Five Below is hiring for an hourly Manager on Duty/Store Leader role in Tennessee. You will oversee daily store operations, train associates, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience while driving sales and controlling expenses.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, 1 year of management experience, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $11.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check out experience.
• Oversee the daily activities of all store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Manage opening or closing of the store, including cash handling, locking doors, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and procedures to improve performance.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance tasks such as cleaning and organizing stock rooms.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Store Manager.
