Job summary

Our client, a global technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support month-end close and accounting operations across multiple international entities. This fully remote role prefers candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone, with an anticipated duration of approximately six months.

The Senior Accountant will manage month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, foreign currency accounting, and analytics, partnering with FP&A on forecasts and spending reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• 3+ years in accounting within complex corporate or public environments.
• Experience with multi-entity and international accounting.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills; able to explain results clearly.

Interim Senior Accountant

Our client, a global technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support month-end close and accounting operations across multiple international entities.

This role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone. The role has an anticipated duration of approximately six months.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close activities for multiple international entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Reconcile local statutory accounting records to the U.S. GAAP ledger and coordinate with external or international accounting teams
• Prepare budget-to-actual variance analyses, develop financial commentary, and partner with FP&A on forecasts and spending reviews
• Support foreign currency accounting, hedging activities, derivative reconciliations, and related technical accounting requirements
• Manage intercompany accounting, including transaction review, reconciliations, eliminations, and resolution of outstanding differences
• Perform foreign currency translation and remeasurement across entities operating in multiple currencies
• Maintain internal controls and prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audit requests
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and implement improvements across close, reconciliation, and reporting processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience within a complex corporate or public accounting environment
• Strong multi-entity and international accounting experience, including intercompany transactions and statutory-to-U.S. GAAP reconciliations
• Working knowledge of foreign currency accounting, translation, remeasurement, and hedging activities
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate financial results clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders
