Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for teaching position.
• Valid state teaching license required (Tennessee).
• Endorsement in Special Education required for eligibility.
• Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with parents and staff to develop IEPs for each student.
• Implement instructional or therapeutic programs and document preparation.
• Assess student learning styles and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines using varied instructional methods.
• Modify regular curricula to support inclusive education.
• Attend IEP meetings regularly and participate in book/equipment selection.
• Establish parent conferences and maintain professional relationships.
