Job summary

Etowah Elementary in Etowah, North Carolina seeks a Teacher- Exceptional Children (Interim) for a temporary assignment. The role starts November 4, 2026 and ends December 18, 2026, with interim pay at $130 per day until the regular teacher's salary scale applies.

Must hold NC EC: General Curriculum K-12 certification and have a valid NC teaching license. The interim position reports to the Principal and involves planning, instruction, and collaboration with parents and staff to support students

Qualifications

Must hold current NC Teacher license with certification in EC: General Curriculum K-12.
Experience or ability to teach students with disabilities in a Special Education setting.

Responsibilities

Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
Create a classroom environment that encourages student involvement and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
Plan for and utilize instructional methods, resources, and evaluation techniques that motivate and enable each student to achieve learning objectives.
Monitors student performance and growth.
Establish relationships with parents, colleagues, administrators, and the community to enhance learning opportunities for the students.
Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as required by the Principal.
