Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an EC Resource Teacher to support elementary students in K-4 at a school near Sylva, NC. This full-time contract starts August 24, 2026, offering a stable role with meaningful impact on exceptional learners.

You will deliver direct instruction and resource support, develop and monitor IEPs using ECATS, and collaborate with general and special education staff. A NC EC General Education K-12 certification is required, plus strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina EC General Education K-12 certification required.
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in an elementary setting.
• Familiarity with the ECATS IEP management system or other digital IEP tools.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a moderate caseload.
• Excellent communication for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
• Current resume reflecting relevant experience.
• Ready to provide references and interview availability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct instruction and resource support in pull-out and inclusive settings for K-4 students.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs using the ECATS system.
• Collaborate with general educators to provide tailored instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance and best practices.
