Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of supervisory or management experience in Child Protective Services or Adult and Aging Services in North Carolina.
• Experience supervising county staff, providing consultation, and ensuring quality assurance.
• Solid knowledge of NC laws, policies, and practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight, and consultation to county social services staff.
• Support two-level decision-making, case consultation, and quality assurance for assigned programs.
• Provide guidance on North Carolina law, policy, and best practices.
• Manage casework, program operations, staffing, and workload prioritization.
• Identify backlogs and operational barriers and implement improvements.
• Coach and mentor staff for performance and professional development.
• Collaborate with county leadership to plan, implement, and problem-solve programs.
• Review processes to ensure quality, timeliness, compliance, and accountability.
