Job summary

The Bristal in West Babylon is seeking an Interim Lifestyle Director to develop and oversee activities for Assisted Living Residents and Reflections Program Residents, fostering engagement and social participation.

You will plan outings, coordinate clubs, manage staff, and create monthly calendars while ensuring resident wellbeing and community involvement. A CDL and First Aid are required, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in related field.
• Requires experience working with older adults.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in developing a social activities program geared to the strengths and frailties of senior citizens.
• Good organization skills.
• Outgoing, warm and caring personality.
• CDL license or must obtain one within 6 months of employment.
• First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain activities programs for Assisted Living Residents and Reflections Program Residents.
• Assist Residents to continue with interests, hobbies and activities that they have previously pursued.
• Plan and coordinate outings to galleries, theatre, music, racetracks, religious and cultural programs.
• Provide constant activity within the facility to expand friendships.
• Assist Residents in forming clubs and organizations for leadership opportunities.
• Plan a monthly calendar of events meeting residents’ religious, social, emotional, educational and recreational needs.
