Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York, NY is hiring a Lifestyle Coordinator for a full-time role working Sunday through Thursday, with weekend coverage as needed. The position is on-site at our luxury senior living community, focused on presenting and coordinating recreational programs for residents, including those in Reflections Memory Care.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience with a senior population.
At least 6 months of recreation activity or event leadership experience.
Outgoing, warm, and genuinely caring personality.
Ability to create engaging programs and supervise activities.
Strong listening and communication skills; positive attitude.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assist in presenting and coordinating recreational programs for residents, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Plan fun and safe trips to suitable destinations (art galleries, theaters, venues, etc.).
Prepare, print and distribute monthly calendars, newsletters, and memos to residents.
Perform activities in the absence of the Director of Recreation.
Leverage resident backgrounds and languages to encourage engagement and participation.
