Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in West Babylon, NY is seeking a dedicated Driver/Activities Assistant to safely transport residents for activities and assist in daily living tasks. You will operate company vehicles in accordance with laws, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and report any incidents to the Lifestyle Director.

Responsibilities include assisting residents onto/off the bus, supporting activities-related assignments, dining room help, and performing other duties as assigned. CDL is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL required for position; clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to transport residents safely and courteously.

Responsibilities

• Assists with transportation for activities.
• Assists residents onto and off of the bus.
• Drive vehicle in compliance with all local and state laws.
• Coordinate maintenance and cleaning schedule of company vehicles.
• Report vehicle malfunctions to the Lifestyle Director.
• Report any vehicle incidents to the Lifestyle Director.
• Complete incident reports for resident accidents or incidents.
• Ensure the vehicle is cleaned out after every trip.
• Performs errands as assigned by Executive Director/General Manager and/or Lifestyle Director.
• Assists the Lifestyle Director with activities-related assignments.
• Assist in dining room as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Lifestyle Director or Manager on duty.
