Interim Regulatory and Compliance Attorney

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Asset Management/Capital Markets Regulatory and Compliance Attorney.

Overview: We are seeking an interim Regulatory and Compliance Attorney.

Company: Alternative Asset Management Company

Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Asset Management/Capital Markets Regulatory and Compliance

Location: REMOTE

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead due diligence for acquisition targets, focusing on regulatory and compliance aspects.
2. Review the target company's compliance status with federal, state, and local regulations, including AML, KYC, Sanctions/Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption, and Data Privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, UK GDPR).
3. Identify regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies.
4. Plan the integration of the target company into ORIX's compliance framework.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze relevant information.
6. Prepare reports and presentations on due diligence findings and integration plans for the CCO.
7. Advise on regulatory requirements and best practices for post-acquisition integration.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• At least 10 years of experience in regulatory and compliance law, preferably in M&A contexts.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting the industry, including AML, KYC, sanctions, and data privacy laws.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High ethical standards and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Financial Services sector.
• Knowledge of international regulatory frameworks.
