Qualifications

• Earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree from an accredited institution.
• Proven track record of senior university academic leadership at or above the dean level or head of a central academic unit.
• Experience directing integrated academic and financial planning, resource allocation, program review, and accreditation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead faculty processes within shared governance and policy development.
• Experience with public comprehensive research universities or multi‑campus systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief academic officer and advance teaching, learning, research, and service.
• Provide vision for development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of academic programs and curricula.
• Lead budget planning, resource allocation, and accreditation oversight with data‑driven decisions.
• Oversee faculty appointment, promotion, tenure, and professional development.
• Represent the university at regional and national levels and collaborate with external partners.
