Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for a Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Provost/EVPAA is the chief academic officer, charged with advancing student success, academic strategy, and inclusive leadership throughout the university.

The role requires strategic oversight of curricula, credential pathways, and data-informed decision making, with a focus on enrollment, retention, and persistence.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution with qualifications appropriate for appointment as a full professor with tenure.
• Progressive administrative and leadership experience in higher education.
• Experience with data-informed decision making, strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and to advancing student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for academic affairs, aligning curricular and credential pathways with institutional goals.
• Lead efforts to promote enrollment, retention, persistence and student success through collaboration with other leaders.
• Foster inclusive management practices and accountability for student outcomes at all levels.
• Oversee budgeting processes and resource allocation in support of academic programs and priorities.
• Build effective, sustainable relationships with faculty and administration to advance the student experience.
• Bridge MSU Denver’s activities with regional partners to ensure seamless credential pathways.
