AMN Healthcare Leadership Solutions | B.E. Smith seeks an Interim Director of Surgical Services in Anchorage, Alaska to provide interim operational and nursing leadership across Pre-Op, Ambulatory Surgery, OR, PACU, Endoscopy, and related services.

The role collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize staffing, workflows, and financial performance while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Active AK RN license is required.
• A minimum of five years of relative leadership experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim operational and nursing leadership across a comprehensive Surgical Services portfolio.
• Lead clinical and operational performance across a high-volume surgical environment.
• Partner with physician leaders and interdisciplinary stakeholders to strengthen surgical operations and advance strategic initiatives.
• Champion quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and professional nursing standards while promoting accountability and shared governance.
• Develop leaders and frontline teams through coaching, succession planning, and initiatives that support workforce well-being and sustained performance.
• Start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.
