Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions in Asheville, NC, seeks an Interim Leader of Surgical Services to direct 24/7 surgical operations at Mission Hospital. This role ensures patient safety, budget oversight, and operational excellence under temporary leadership until a permanent replacement is found.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred), has prior Surgical Services Manager/Director experience, and CNOR/CSSM certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Past experience as a Surgical Services Manager/Director.
• CNOR or CSSM certification preferred.
• Licensure in the state of placement required; compact licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees 24/7 functions of assigned Surgery and related Departments.
• Reviews goals and policies, prepares budgets, and collaborates with staff and physicians.
• Manages staffing patterns with OR leadership and supervisors.
• Demonstrates business acumen, relationship building, coaching, communication and drive for execution.
• Other duties as assigned.
