Job summary

Srimatrix Health in Bethel, Alaska, seeks a Surgical Services Manager (RN) to provide leadership for OR, PACU, anesthesia, and outpatient surgery. You will ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, fiscal management, staff development, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has strong perioperative nursing expertise and a track record in surgical services leadership, fostering safety, excellence, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in good standing or eligibility for Alaska licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience and 2 years Surgical Services leadership experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with peri-operative nursing knowledge.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards and patient safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily operations of Surgical Services (OR, PACU, Anesthesia, Outpatient Surgery).
• Lead, mentor, and supervise clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and departmental resources.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
• Develop quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and outcomes.
• Coordinate visiting specialists and maintain efficient surgical scheduling.
• Monitor metrics and implement action plans for improvement.
• Promote evidence-based practice and adherence to perioperative standards.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
• Support patient experience and family-centered care initiatives.
