Job summary

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy for a well-established community acute care hospital in the Lebanon, IN area. This leadership role oversees the inpatient pharmacy, coordinates staffing, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

The position requires Indiana Pharmacist licensure, prior director-level experience, and strong leadership capabilities. The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with some on-call coverage and will involve collaboration with

Qualifications

• Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Previous pharmacy management or director experience.
• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Sterile compounding experience.
• Meditech experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the inpatient pharmacy department.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily pharmacy operations.
• Review and verify medication orders while assisting with clinical staffing as needed.
• Support sterile compounding services and ensure compliance with USP and regulatory standards.
• Participate in hospital committees and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to optimize medication management and patient care.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and departmental policies.
