Job summary

SPECIAL SERVICE FOR GROUPS, INC. is seeking an Interim Housing Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across multiple Interim Housing sites, ensuring safety, habitability, and timely repairs.

You will manage a team of facilities staff, coordinate with vendors, and maintain organized maintenance systems to support program delivery. The role requires 3–5 years in facilities/maintenance with supervisory responsibilities, a California driver’s license, and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in facilities, property maintenance, building operations, or related field; supervisory experience.
• Background check and verification of employment eligibility required.
• Valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance required; TB test and CPR/First Aid within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of Interim Housing facilities across multiple sites.
• Conduct regular inspections for safety hazards and deferred repairs.
• Prioritize and manage maintenance work orders and staff assignments.
• Supervise 6–10 Facilities Assistants; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping).
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with habitability and safety standards across sites.
