Job summary
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Legal Officer & Executive Vice President for Global Government Relations to guide a North American company through a pivotal growth phase. Reporting to the CEO and advising the Board, the CLO/EVP will oversee legal, governance, compliance, and government affairs in multiple jurisdictions.
The role focuses on strategic counsel, M&A with integration, and enterprise risk management across international operations, with relocation
Qualifications
- JD required with active bar admission in at least one US state.
- Significant senior legal leadership experience in a public company.
- Strong experience in M&A, governance, and cross-border transactions.
Responsibilities
- Advise CEO and Board with strategic legal counsel and governance oversight.
- Lead global legal, compliance, and government relations functions across jurisdictions.
- Steer transactional activity including acquisitions, integrations, financing, and regulatory approvals.
- Oversee securities compliance, disclosure, and investor relations in US/Canada.
- Manage outside counsel and build scalable legal and compliance infrastructure.
