Job summary

Cain Watters & Associates, LLC seeks a Chief Legal Officer to provide strategic legal counsel to the Executive Committee, oversee enterprise contract management, and lead governance, risk management, and compliance efforts across the firm.

The CLO will collaborate with senior leadership on growth initiatives, technology use, and operational excellence, reporting to the Executive Committee. 12–15 years of in-house or senior legal leadership experience is expected.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• Minimum 12–15 years of legal experience in-house or as senior legal executive.
• Experience leading enterprise contract management programs and legal risk management initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the firm's legal strategy aligned with objectives.
• Oversee contract management, negotiation, administration, and risk assessment.
• Provide governance and compliance oversight through the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and programs for growth and scalability.
• Advise executive leadership on legal obligations, business initiatives, and risk.
