Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking an experienced Chief Legal Officer to serve as the organization's chief legal advisor. The role partners with the CEO, ELT, and Boards to shape enterprise-wide strategy and ensure lawful, ethical operations.

The CLO will lead governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal operations across real estate, contracts, employment, litigation, and corporate development, including mergers and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and be a member in good standing of the Arizona Bar.
• 15+ years of extensive corporate legal experience, in-house and in private practice.
• Experience as General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer.
• Strong M&A, governance, and regulatory expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide legal strategy and risk management.
• Advise on board governance and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Oversee contracts, real estate, employment, and litigation matters.
• Manage external counsel and legal budgets.
• Support M&A and corporate development initiatives.
