Interim Global Accounting Manager – Telecommunications – New York, NY

We are seeking candidates for an experienced Interim Global Accounting Manager to support the CFO with global accounting and finance initiatives across multiple international entities. This role will be instrumental in driving process improvements, ensuring compliance, and managing the monthly close across a diverse geographic footprint.

This is a 3+ month assignment that will pay $85/hr. within a 40 hr. work week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the monthly close process across all global entities, including Latvia, US, Brazil, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Canada.
• Implement and maintain a robust preparer/reviewer model to ensure accountability and accuracy.
• Ensure all material balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled across all entities.
• Oversee day-to-day transactional processing activities for Germany, Singapore, and Japan.
• Provide support to external CPA for current audit and compliance requests related to fiscal years 2023 and 2024, as needed.
• Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and help identify process improvements to streamline the financial close cycle.
• Provide hands-on support to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and HR functions, particularly in Latvia, US, Brazil, and Canada.
• Support the implementation of IFRS adjustments in NetSuite for prior periods.
• Validate that NetSuite historical balances are accurately reflected and tie back to the consolidation file.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA preferred
• 8-10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong background in multinational close processes.
• Previous experience managing audits and working with Big Four firms (e.g., Deloitte) is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of NetSuite ERP
• Well versed in IFRS and SOX compliance.
