Job summary

Vardey Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Interim Project Financial Controller to join a private equity backed business for a 6-month project. The role involves integrating new businesses, enhancing financial reporting, and improving operational systems in a flexible hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in SME environments and strong skills in financial modelling and consolidation accounting.

The position offers a competitive salary range of £60,000–£70,000 and various employee benefits including flexible working hours, healthcare support, and additional holiday perks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in an SME environment.
• Experience in working in international entities is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a complex financial environment.
• Demonstrated experience in consolidation accounting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Group Finance Director to improve reporting efficiency.
• Expand budgeting and forecasting processes while building models.
• Implement synchronization of accounting periods and ensure financial integrity.
• Enhance control procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
