Education for Change seeks an Interim Principal to lead Cox Academy with a strong focus on relationships, trust, and organizational health. The role requires listening, building credibility with staff and families, and providing stability and clarity for students and adults to thrive.

The ideal candidate will strengthen adult culture, communicate clearly, delegate effectively, monitor progress, and ensure safe, inclusive, and joyful learning environments while driving established priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of educational administrative experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Experience leading school culture and operations during transitional periods.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with staff, students, and families and maintain an accurate pulse on the school community.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure clarity about decisions, next steps, and timelines.
• Lead collaboratively with distributed leadership and hold teams accountable for follow-through.
• Develop staff and maintain cohesive, healthy team culture.
• Implement established priorities and strengthen instructional and schoolwide priorities during interim period.
• Maintain strong daily operations with clear routines, staffing plans, and effective communication structures.
• Support student culture, behavior systems, and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Partner with leaders to recruit/retain students and staff and strengthen Cox Academy’s school experience.
