The Interim Principal is responsible for the daily operations and all certified staff, support staff, student teachers, interns, and volunteers in the school. Strong integrity, collaborative leadership, and dedication to equity are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Administration or closely related field and building-level principal licensure
• At least 3 years of progressive school leadership experience
• Virginia Postgraduate Professional License or eligibility required

Responsibilities

• Be visible in classrooms and learning spaces to supervise instruction and provide feedback to teachers.
• Make and enforce difficult decisions to ensure safety and learning quality.
• Manage scheduling, facilities, and student behavior to support a conducive learning environment.
• Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and safety protocols.
• Lead and collaborate with staff, students, and families to advance equity and student success.
