Major, Lindsey & Africa's Talent Group is seeking two (2) highly skilled Interim Education Attorneys to support key stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. These candidates will be responsible for the execution of sales contracts, drafting and negotiating terms, and supporting the organization’s legal and compliance functions. This role requires a blend of legal and technical expertise, with a focus on the EdTech or higher education industries. This is a full-time, HYBRID position requiring 40 hours per week for a duration of 3+ months, with the potential for conversion to a permanent role.

Overview

Our client is seeking detail-oriented attorneys to execute sales contracts, draft and negotiate terms, and support the organization’s legal and compliance functions, with a particular focus on the EdTech and higher education industries.

Location

HYBRID - Reston, VA

Responsibilities Include

• Assist in the successful execution of sales contracts to support the organizations mission and goals.
• Handle both legal and non-legal terms and conditions for the organizations research, technology, and consulting services offerings.
• Lead client calls and negotiations to advance the organizations interests and risk management objectives.
• Research and monitor developments and best practices in procurement methods and approaches.
• Assist the General Counsel in efforts to improve the organizations processes.
• Engage in activities to support the overall legal and compliance functions of the organization.

Qualifications Include

• 10+ years of experience in state education law, preferably in the East, South, and Southwest regions.
• Experience negotiating large technology (SaaS-based) contracts with large, complex procurement organizations, preferably colleges and universities.
• Direct experience in a commercial client-facing role such as sales or account management.
• Knowledge of, or prior experience in, the EdTech or higher education industries.
• Legal experience or background, including a juris doctor.

Pay rate: $110.00 to $120.00
