Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Sr. Counsel with extensive in-house experience in the L&E area, supporting HR. Someone with retail experience and product safety experience would be ideal.

Company: Our client is an American specialty retail chain based in Texas

Location: Fully Remote

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide labor and employment counsel to the organization, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Work closely with Human Resources to address employment-related matters, policy development, and workforce issues.
• Ideally this individual can also assist on legal issues surrounding product safety, particularly in a retail environment or industries where compliance is crucial.
• Support the business through transitional and strategic legal initiatives as the organization undergoes change.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to mitigate legal risks and align with corporate objectives.

Qualifications Include:

• Extensive in-house legal experience, ideally within a corporate legal department.
• Strong background in labor and employment law, with a track record of advising HR teams.
• Experience with product safety matters or familiarity with compliance issues within a retail or regulated industry is a plus.
• Ability to navigate a transitional environment, demonstrating adaptability and strategic thinking.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership in good standing.

Pay Rate: $80-$90
