Job summary

Bay Crest Care Center in Torrance, CA is hiring an Interim Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) to lead orientation and ongoing education for nursing staff, ensuring residents receive compassionate, high-quality care. You will monitor nursing activities to ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate standards and direct the infection prevention and control program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state.
• Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment for staff.
• Monitor nursing staff activities to ensure quality of care compliance with state, federal, and corporate standards.
• Direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.
