Job summary

Pomona Vista Care Center is seeking a Director of Staff Development (DSD) to plan, organize, and direct all in-service educational programs across the facility in compliance with state and federal guidelines. The role ensures high quality resident care and ongoing professional development for staff.

The successful candidate will coordinate training initiatives, maintain documentation, and lead CNA staff while collaborating with administrators to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Clear & Active LVN license in California
• Must be DSD Certified
• Two years post-acute/skilled nursing facility experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational programs and on-the-job training.
• Provide leadership for in-service educational goals and objectives.
• Maintain records, reports, manuals, and instructional materials for programs.
• Handle administrative requirements and attendance/tracking.

We are looking for a full time Director of Staff Development (DSD).

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

• Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs and in-services, and orientation.
• Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of the facility.
• Secure, develop and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc., pertinent to in-service educational programs.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, class attendance and subject records, etc.
• Connect with and lead CNA staff.

Position Requirements

Requirements:

• Must possess, as a minimum, two (2) years college.
• Must possess a Clear & Active LVN license in the State of California.
• Must be DSD Certified
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience in a post-acute/ skilled nursing facility, LTC or SNF preferred
