Alexandria Care Center is seeking a Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) to lead orientation, training, and learning initiatives for nursing staff. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality resident care and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

The DSD will oversee staff development, monitor care quality, and direct infection prevention programs. Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state is required, with a nursing degree or approved program completion.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents.
• Knowledge of adult learning or training in education.
• Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state.
• Nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations.

If Yes, Here’s How You Will Contribute to the Team:

As aDirector of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN), you will provide the necessary orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment that will assist staff in gaining the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to perform assigned duties safely and effectively. You will monitor the activities of nursing staff to ensure the quality of care complies with state, federal, and corporate standards. Additionally, you will direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.

Must Have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state
• Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice to Have:

• Infection Prevention Certified
• Supervisory experience
• Experience with PointClickCare
