Job summary

Apploi in California seeks an interim Director of Staff Development to lead and direct the nursing department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will oversee scheduling, training, and quality initiatives, while collaborating with the Administrator and Medical Director.

You will model compassionate resident care, communicate clearly with families and staff, and foster teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unencumbered CA LVN or RN license.
• DSD certificate required.
• CPR and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review scheduling and staffing to meet daily PPD requirements.
• Coordinate with Administrator to recruit nursing staff.
• Plan and coordinate orientation and in-service training programs.
• Partner with department directors on in-service trainings.
• Maintain records for in-service training programs.
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee.
• Provide patient care when directed.
• Ensure Infection Prevention and Antibiotic Stewardship programs.
