HCT Healthcare Transformation seeks an Interim Director of Infection Control to oversee the Infection Prevention program across two hospitals. The ideal candidate will be CIC-certified with extensive experience in infection prevention, surveillance, epidemiology, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement.

The role requires leadership across multiple facilities, development of policies, and collaboration with clinical staff and leadership to promote best practices in infection control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required.
• RN license in Maryland (or compact RN) if licensed as an RN.
• Minimum of 5 years in infection prevention or hospital epidemiology; leadership across two+ hospitals preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and oversee infection prevention and control policies and programs across the medical system.
• Conduct surveillance and epidemiologic investigations to identify infection trends and outbreaks.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, departments, and leadership to promote best practices in infection control.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CDC, Joint Commission, and other regulatory/accrediting bodies’ guidelines.
• Lead education and training initiatives for hospital personnel on infection prevention protocols.
• Monitor antibiotic stewardship and resistance patterns with infectious disease specialists.
• Manage data reporting, analysis, and continuous quality improvement related to infection rates and prevention efforts.
• Serve as a key member of the patient safety and quality teams.
