HCT Healthcare Transformation seeks an Interim Director of Infection Control to oversee the Infection Prevention program across two hospitals. The ideal candidate will be CIC-certified with extensive experience in infection prevention, surveillance, epidemiology, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement.

The role requires leadership across multiple facilities, development of policies, and collaboration with clinical staff and leadership to promote best practices in infection control.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required.
• RN license in Maryland (or compact RN) if licensed as an RN.
• Minimum of 5 years in infection prevention or hospital epidemiology; leadership across two+ hospitals preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and oversee infection prevention and control policies and programs across the medical system.
• Conduct surveillance and epidemiologic investigations to identify infection trends and outbreaks.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, departments, and leadership to promote best practices in infection control.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CDC, Joint Commission, and other regulatory/accrediting bodies’ guidelines.
• Lead education and training initiatives for hospital personnel on infection prevention protocols.
• Monitor antibiotic stewardship and resistance patterns with infectious disease specialists.
• Manage data reporting, analysis, and continuous quality improvement related to infection rates and prevention efforts.
• Serve as a key member of the patient safety and quality teams.

We are seeking an experienced leader with CIC certification and a strong background in hospital infection prevention, surveillance, epidemiology, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee infection prevention and control policies and programs across the medical system.
• Conduct surveillance and epidemiologic investigations to identify infection trends and outbreaks.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, departments, and leadership to promote best practices in infection control.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CDC, Joint Commission, and other regulatory and accrediting bodies’ guidelines.
• Lead education and training initiatives for hospital personnel on infection prevention protocols.
• Monitor antibiotic stewardship and resistance patterns in coordination with infectious disease specialists.
• Manage data reporting, analysis, and continuous quality improvement related to infection rates and prevention efforts.
• Serve as a key member of the patient safety and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required.
• License: if Registered Nurse, Must have active RN license in the state of Mary land (or compact RN)
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in infection prevention or hospital epidemiology required; experience providing infection prevention leadership across two or more hospitals strongly preferred; Strong knowledge of infection control standards, microbiology, and healthcare regulations; Exceptional communication, analytical, and project management skills.
