Tatum by Randstad is seeking an experienced Interim Cost Accounting Manager (Individual Contributor) for an immediate, high-impact project supporting a major multi-segment enterprise as they navigate a multi-year finance transformation through August 2028. This hybrid Philadelphia role is hands-on with no direct reports.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands-on accounting experience at manager or senior level.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge with hands-on close and reconciliations.
• Experience with inventory and overhead cost accounting.
• Advanced Excel; SAP experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventory accounting: journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, variance analysis.
• Overhead accounting & allocations: provisional rate calculations, rate application, forecasting.
• Financial & variance analysis: inventory/overhead schedules and drivers.
• Cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Ops.
• Audit & special projects: support auditors and lead ad-hoc accounting initiatives.
