Job summary

United Collective in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking an interim Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting for AIM and South Norte businesses. The role reports to the CFO and leads two finance managers, with an initial three-to-six-month term and potential to convert to full-time.

You will manage close processes, intercompany accounting, revenue recognition, cash flow forecasting, and compliance, leveraging QuickBooks and Paylocity in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Five plus years accounting experience required in various industries.
• Experience in a project accounting environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain separate company books on QuickBooks for AIM and South Norte.
• Manage monthly close for AIM and South Norte with detailed close schedules.
• Ensure balance sheets and subledgers are reconciled and controls are in place for vendors.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and review bank reconciliations.
• Manage revenue recognition processes and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure annual budgets are loaded into accounting systems and payroll is processed properly.
