Confidential – Private Equity-Backed Home Services Company in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking an Interim Controller to step into an immediate vacancy and take ownership of the accounting function across 18 P&Ls.

This hands-on, middle-market role requires leading a four-person team, managing multi-state tax filings, and coordinating with an Interim CFO to drive timely close and accurate financial reporting using QuickBooks Online and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function for a $125M, multi-location organization.
• Lead the monthly close and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage 18 separate P&Ls and related balance-sheet activity.
• Oversee multi-state tax filing requirements and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Produce financial and management reporting using QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Manage inventory accounting and related reporting.
• Provide hands-on oversight of AP, AR, and general accounting activities.
• Lead and develop a four-person accounting team.
• Partner closely with the Interim CFO on financial reporting and accounting priorities.
• Maintain appropriate accounting controls and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
• Support acquisition-related accounting and integration activities as needed.
