Our client, a growing AdTech company based in Boulder, CO, seeks an experienced Interim Controller to provide critical coverage during a maternity leave transition. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who thrives on ownership and can step into an established process with minimal ramp-up.

This is not a strategic CFO-level position - it's a "get it done" role for someone who wants to lead a lean, capable team and independently own the monthly close.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume transactional environments (AdTech/MarTech).
• Strong revenue recognition expertise and close management from start to finish.
• Ability to own month-end close and related processes.
• Payroll GL entries and commission/bonus cycles experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the full close process: 5-day flash close and 9-day full close.
• Manage revenue recognition in a high-volume environment.
• Oversee accounting for software assets.
• Handle payroll GL entries.
• Execute monthly/quarterly commission and bonus processes.
• Lead lean accounting team through a transition period.
• Partner with CFO on day-to-day accounting operations.
