Job summary

The HT Group has partnered with a private equity-backed manufacturing company in Cincinnati, OH, to hire an Interim Controller who will stabilize and lead the accounting and finance function during a critical growth phase.

As the sole accounting resource, you will implement scalable processes, manage month-end close, cost accounting, and executive KPI reporting to drive operational improvements and financial clarity.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Controller or senior finance leader in manufacturing.
• Deep expertise in standard cost accounting within production environments.
• Hands-on experience reconciling manufacturing/MRP data with QuickBooks or ERP/general ledger.
• Ability to operate independently as the lead finance/accounting professional.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the organization's primary accounting resource.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.

• Review, clean up, and restate historical standard costing data as needed.

Location: Cincinnati, OH Area (Remote/Limited Travel)

Compensation: $70-90/hr (DOE)

The HT Group has recently partnered with a private equity-backed manufacturing company in the search for an experienced Interim Controller to stabilize and lead the organization's accounting and finance function during a critical stage of growth and operational improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to solve complex financial and operational challenges. The selected consultant will serve as the company's sole accounting resource while helping establish scalable financial processes and reporting. What You'll Be Responsible For

• Serve as the organization's primary accounting resource.
• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.

• Partner closely with ownership and executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Evaluate and help lead ERP vendor selection and future system implementation efforts.
• Establish scalable accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Controller, or senior finance leader
• Extensive manufacturing accounting experience
• Deep expertise in standard cost accounting within a production environment
• Experience cleaning up and restating historical standard costs
• Hands-on experience reconciling manufacturing/MRP systems with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms
• Ability to operate independently as the company's lead finance/accounting professional
• Prior experience working within a private equity-backed business
