Job summary

The HT Group has partnered with a private equity-backed manufacturing company in Cincinnati, OH, to hire an Interim Controller who will stabilize and lead the accounting and finance function during a critical growth phase.

As the sole accounting resource, you will implement scalable processes, manage month-end close, cost accounting, and executive KPI reporting to drive operational improvements and financial clarity.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Controller or senior finance leader in manufacturing.
• Deep expertise in standard cost accounting within production environments.
• Hands-on experience reconciling manufacturing/MRP data with QuickBooks or ERP/general ledger.
• Ability to operate independently as the lead finance/accounting professional.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the organization's primary accounting resource.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Review, clean up, and restate historical standard costing data as needed.
• Reconcile manufacturing/MRP data with QuickBooks or ERP systems.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting for operational visibility.
• Provide financial insights to ownership and leadership.
• Evaluate ERP vendor selection and future system implementations.
• Establish scalable accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
