Interim Contracts Manager & CLM Specialist

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group is seeking, on behalf of our corporate client, a Contracts Manager & CLM Specialist. This is an interim opportunity with the possibility of conversion.

Overview: Contracts Manager & CLM Specialist

Company: Medical Device Outsource Manufacturer based in Plano, TX

Experience: Demonstrated experience in contracts management & negotiations. Previous high level use of a CLM system and / or CMS.

Location: Remote

Responsibilities Include:

• Support the business by drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts across multiple departments and regions.
• Address the challenges of a decentralized contracting system, organizing existing contracts and improving accessibility.
• Work on contract repository structuring, including naming conventions and storage improvements, without purchasing new software solutions.
• Assist in the beginning steps of a Contract Management System (CMS) while developing better organizational processes to reduce time spent searching for agreements.
• Navigate complex, longstanding contracts with numerous stakeholders and intertwined obligations.
• Play a critical role in sophisticated contract negotiations, particularly in intricate industries such as manufacturing, science, and development.
• Provide guidance on legal operations, ensuring small but effective improvements in the way contracts are handled.

Qualifications Include:

• Demonstrated experience (3-5 years +) and background in contracts management & negotiations
• Experience working with CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) and CMS (Contract Management Systems) is ideal
• Experience with sophisticated, complex agreements.
• JD, Paralegal, BA all are acceptable for this role.

Pay: $50 to $75 per hour, depending on relevant experience, background, and qualifications.
