Job summary

CFS is partnering with a PE-backed, tech-enabled healthcare services organization to appoint an Interim CFO to lead the finance function during a search for a permanent CFO.

The role emphasizes continuity, partnership with the CEO and ownership group, and guiding the established finance team through the transition with practical, hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Seasoned CFO or senior finance executive with prior CFO experience.
• Healthcare services and/or tech-enabled healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in PE-backed environments is a plus.
• Complex revenue recognition experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight of the finance organization.
• Partner closely with the CEO, ownership group, and senior leadership team.
• Lead and support an established, high-performing finance team.
• Provide continuity across financial reporting, planning, analysis, and core finance activities.
• Oversee financial operations and ensure appropriate financial discipline and execution.
• Support the transition of responsibilities from the current CFO.
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO and ownership group.
• Help maintain momentum across key finance priorities while the permanent CFO search is underway.
• Provide hands-on leadership and guidance as needed without unnecessarily disrupting the existing organization.

We’re partnering with a PE-backed, tech-enabled healthcare services organization for an Interim CFO to provide leadership and continuity while the company conducts a search for its permanent CFO.

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned CFO who can step into an established finance organization, quickly build relationships with the CEO and ownership group, and provide stability during a leadership transition.

This is not a turnaround or transformation role. The finance team is established and strong, and the focus will be on leading the existing organization and maintaining continuity.

What You’ll Do As Interim CFO

What We’re Looking For

• Seasoned CFO or senior finance executive with prior CFO experience
• Experience in healthcare services and/or tech-enabled healthcare strongly preferred
• Experience operating in a PE-backed environment is a plus
• Complex revenue recognition experience is highly desirable
• Strong executive presence and communication skills
• Ability to quickly step into an established organization and earn the confidence of the team
• Comfortable partnering with CEOs, boards, and ownership groups
• Strong leadership skills with a practical, hands-on approach
• Comfortable taking on an interim assignment of approximately 3 months, with potential to extend
• Tempe/Phoenix-area candidates preferred, though remote candidates will be considered for the right fit
